Our mission is to provide world-class language access to the Deaf community.

TCS Interpreting is a Deaf woman-owned small business providing sign language interpreting and related services nationwide. Located in Montgomery County, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC, TCS Interpreting can meet your needs anywhere in the U.S. We fulfill our mission by providing world-class language access to Deaf community, by nurturing and developing competent practitioners, and partnering with organizations to develop best practices for interacting with Deaf individuals. TCS Interpreting understands that businesses aim to meet the language needs of their Deaf employees, clients, and the general public with which they interact. We are committed to working alongside businesses and agencies, offering a range of services to meet this need. TCS Interpreting is on the GSA schedule and offers a wealth of services to ensure your communication needs are met.

We have the largest number of staff interpreters of any agency in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and our network reaches every region of the country. No matter where you are or what you need, TCS Interpreting can provide for you. As we pledge in our mission statement, our goal is to be your partner and offer our expertise in helping you find the most effective communication solution. Our client service team works with you to determine how to best provide the communication you need and offers a variety of staffing solutions. History


Abacus N Bytes, Inc. was founded in 1982 by Myrna and Phil Aiello. As Deaf entrepreneurs, Myrna and Phil established a strong reputation for themselves in the computer and IT industry. They later added the DBA name, TCS Associates. From 1982 to 2005, TCS Associates had two main service offerings: mainstream IT support, both hardware and software, and Assistive Technology services for blind, low-vision, and deaf-blind individuals. In 2005, TCS Associates added sign language interpreting as a third service offering. In 2008, TCS Associates decided to refocus and restructure the organization to provide services under two main divisions: assistive technology and sign language interpreting. After experiencing rapid growth and expansion, TCS Associates decided to restructure each division into separate legal entities in 2015.

TCS Interpreting (TCSI) is led by Jessica Moseley and provides on-site and remote sign language interpreting services nationwide. TCS Associates (TCSA) is led by Bryan Moseley and provides communication and technology consulting services for blind, low-vision, and deaf-blind individuals. These two organizations are legally separate and are considered sister companies.
